The notary is a public officer acting on behalf of the State and, in this role, gives authenticity to the documents he produces.

Me Damien Ventura

Damien Ventura has a degree in law from the University of Lausanne. He has also published a doctoral thesis on property law, “L’abandon d’un droit réel”.

Since receiving his notary license in 2012, he has worked in Lausanne and then in Nyon.

Mr Ventura, currently in his 40s, is able to deal with cases in French, English, Italian and German.

The notary is a sworn public officer whose fees are regulated by the Council of State.

The notary may also charge fees for any activities not covered by his public law fees.

They are calculated on the basis of the work carried out, the responsibility assumed and the time spent preparing the various documents required to complete the assignment.
The compulsory fees set by the official tariff (TNo) and fees are subject to VAT.

At the end of each case, you will receive a detailed invoice for work and fees, with the list of all operations carried out and indicating separately :

  • fees and emoluments due to the notary
  • disbursements invoiced
  • fees charged by the State for registration in the Land or Commercial Register
  • other administrative and legal fees and charges due to the State for all necessary procedures
  • taxes due to the State following a property transfer

In general, and in accordance with the law, the notary asks for a deposit to cover his fees and disbursements, which is deducted from the final amount.
